On September 20, a crew of six from Extreme Outdoors USA set out for Hidden Springs Ranch in Ridgely, Mo. for some bow-hunting action. The pictures above show the success of the hunters.
The ranch was truly amazing and the quality of the hunting was even better. The ranch is 450 acres of high fenced managed game preserve about one hour South of Springfield, Mo. The varied terrain offers as much or as little challenge as you want while hunting. From stand hunting to "spot and stalk", the choice is yours.
Steve Coberley and Greg Baker, owners of the ranch, offer numerous species of game animals for hunting. Elk, whitetail deer, Russian boar and big horn sheep are a few of the species offered. The quality of the animals is amazing. Steve was our guide and he put us on some of the most exciting hunting we had experienced in a long time. His knowledge of the property and the game there is awesome. He was able to start us in the area where the animals frequently moved through, the rest was up to us.
Honestly, I thought that high fence hunting would be like "shooting fish in a barrel". Boy, how wrong I turned out to be. I would highly recommend that you try this type of hunting. Don't judge it until you try it. We are already planning a return visit in the next couple of months!
